Cook
We are seeking a dependable Cook to prepare and present nutritious, appealing meals for Angoon's senior citizens. Duties include: relating to staff, participants and volunteers in a positive manner; supervising and training kitchen staff; ordering food and supplies; preparing meals according to senior nutrition program guidelines; and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen according to Alaska food service regulations.

Qualifications

Background check required. Prior industrial kitchen experience preferred but we will train. Must obtain State Food Worker's Card within 10 days of hire. ​Must become CPR/First Aid certified within 30 days of hire.

Compensation and Benefits
This position is part-time, 20 hours per week, starting wage $15.00/hour DOE. Benefits include  a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan, Employee Assistance Program(EAP),  paid time off, and 12 paid holidays annually.


Substitute Cook
Works in the absence of the regular cook. Duties include: relating to staff, participants and volunteers in a positive manner; preparing meals according to senior nutrition program guidelines; and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen according to Alaska food service regulations.

Background check required. Prior industrial kitchen experience preferred but we will train. Must obtain State Food Worker's Card within 10 days of hire. ​Must become CPR/First Aid certified within 30 days of hire.

JUNEAU
Available Positions in Juneau

EXECUTIVE OFFICE

Accountant
The Accountant will join the CCS finance team in providing agency wide support to staff and programs. Duties for the position include:
  • Help with general accounting duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
  • Assist with planning and budgeting as well as monitor YTD expenditures/revenues
  • Assist with fiscal reports for grant submissions
  • Manage In-Kind Revenue
  • Oversee asset inventory management
  • Perform as back-up to CFO
  • Ability to assist with payables and receivables as needed
 
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting and two years professional accounting experience preferred. Work experience in accounting may substitute for education.  Knowledge of general, fund and non-profit principals is preferred.  Knowledge of medical bill is a plus.

SAFE Child Advocacy Center

Mental Health Clinician

Our S.A.F.E Child Advocacy Center is looking for a Mental Health Clinician to provide trauma-focused, evidence-supported mental health clinical services to children. The right candidate will want to make a difference in the lives SE Alaska Children by working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.  
 
Essential Job Functions include:
  • Provide trauma-focused, evidence-supported mental health clinical services to children through individual therapy sessions and/or through support group work .
  • Provide crisis intervention to child victims and their non-offending caregivers.
  • Create, maintain, and submit accurate client records on a timely basis that are consistent with federal and state guidelines for confidentiality.
  • Interview, assess, and identify mental health or other concerns using approved assessment instruments, social history, and consultation with community partners.
  • Make treatment/social service referrals to appropriate agencies in order to affect a positive impact on the individual’s performance.
  • Provide court testimony in civil, juvenile, or criminal cases as requested with a subpoena.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with system personnel and community organizations.
  • Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, committees, task forces, or other public forums or partnerships whose aims are to enhance the health and well-being of families and develop effective systems of care.
  • Provide follow-up contact, information and referrals, criminal justice support/advocacy, and case management.
 
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related social science field required.
  • Licensed/certified mental health professional (LPC, LCSW, etc.) preferred License-eligible in a related mental health field considered. Must be able to provide Alaska License by start date.
  • Must be able to demonstrate completion of or the ability to complete 40 hour of CEUs in accordance with mental health related educational requirements, including CEUs from specific evidence-based treatment for trauma training (CCS will provide training if needed), and clinical supervision hours by a licensed clinical supervisor.
  •  A minimum of one-year experience within the mental health field preferred.

HOSPICE AND HOME CARE OF JUNEAU

Clinical Manager
HHCJ is currently recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Clinical Manager. This position is responsible for the overall direction of the home health and hospice clinical services.  The Clinical Manager works closely with the Program Director to help further develop Hospice and Home Health Care services for our community.
 
Responsibilities

Oversee the coordination of patient care services including providing support to clinical personnel
Coordination of referrals, assuring that patient needs are continually assessed and assuring development, implementation and updates to the patient plan of care.
Attends discharge planning at Bartlett Regional Hospital and collaborates with the hospital’s utilization review department and care coordinators/case managers to facilitate safe, early discharge.
Assures proper maintenance of clinical records as prescribed and in compliance with local state and federal laws.
Assures compliance with local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certifications of agency personnel and procedures.
Assists with employee recruitment, hiring, orienting supervision, and separations.  
Assists with coordination and implementation of staff development, education and training.
Assist with quality reviews and assures timely submission of required quality data.
Works closely with finance department to assure accurate and timely billing.
Promotes home health and hospice referrals in the health care community.

Qualifications
Sound clinical nursing skills.
Ability to understand and communicate/develop the broader picture of patient care.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to demonstrate time management and prioritize competing demands.
Ability to build and maintain relationship in the medical community.
Effective critical thinking skills  
Complies with accepted professional standards and practices. 

Clinical Manager Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
Current RN license through the Alaska State Board of Nursing.
Three (3) years of experience in nursing.  Management level preferred.  Home health and/or hospice experience preferred.
Valid driver license. Must own or have access to an automobile that is insured with state and/or organization requirements.

RN Case Manager
HHCJ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in home care to home health and hospice patients. HHCJ nursing positions require the ability to work independently.  This position has the ability for a flexible work schedule to help with work life balance. Each CCS RN Case Manager participates with rotating on-call duty.  

Registered Nurse (RN) works with the patient and primary medical provider to establish and oversee a coordinated plan of in-home care.  Duties include such things as evaluation and assessment of patient status, medication management, wound care, PICC line dressing changes, catheter care, and patient and caregiver education with the goal of patient returning to a level of independence.  

Qualifications 
Appropriate degree and licensure required for this position. Two years nursing experience required. Experience in home health or hospice preferred. Experience with end of life care, PICC lines, and wound care are a plus. Must possess a valid Alaska driver’s license and a vehicle.  

Compensation and Benefits
This position is full-time, 37.5 hours/week. Starting salary range is $41-$43 per hour, negotiable DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off and 12 paid holidays annually. Training opportunities available for career advancement. Relocation assistance negotiable.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
HHCJ is currently recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide in-home psychosocial support to patients and families by providing skilled social work intervention to include; providing resources, referrals, education, supportive counseling, discharge planning and assistance with final arrangements. The Hospice and Home Care of Juneau Social Worker is part of an interdisciplinary team. 
 
Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments for all HHCJ patients.
Develops and maintains comprehensive plan of care.
Provides supportive counseling.
Supports patients/families/staff members with the death/dying process.
Collaborates in providing patient care.
Assures timely and accurate documentation is completed.
Utilizes resources effectively and efficiently.
Adheres to state and federal regulations
Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient information.
Maintains current knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation for social work services.
Documents all patient/family services provided as required by Agency policy.
Assists physician and other team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to health problems.
 
Qualifications
Must have current Alaska LCSW license.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary team in providing patient care.

HHCJ is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to partner with our nurses to provide care to patients in their homes. Duties include participating in and implementing the plan of care initiated by the Registered Nurses, ensuring quality and safe delivery of home health services and providing timely and accurate documentation consistent with the plan of care. Position requires the ability to work independently.
 
Qualifications
Must have current CNA certification and be able to work independently. Previous experience necessary. Must possess a valid Alaska driver’s license and a vehicle. Background check required

SOUTHEAST SENIOR SERVICES

Counselor

Southeast Senior Services is looking for a part-time Counselor to provide therapeutic counseling, support and education services to the elderly and family caregivers. This person will also conduct the monthly Parkinson’s Support Group as well as maintain client records.
 
Qualifications
A master's degree in social work, psychology, or closely related field and a minimum of one year of experience in direct service delivery in a related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in the listed fields and a minimum of three years’ experience can be substituted.

Substitute Assistant Cook
The Assistant Cook helps ensure the timely preparation and delivery of meals for seniors. Duties include assisting the cook with food preparation in accordance with program meal requirements, packaging home delivered meals and serving congregate meals, and maintaining a clean kitchen and adhering to DEC sanitation rules and regulations.
 
Qualifications
Background check required. Prior industrial kitchen experience preferred but we will train. Must obtain State Food Worker's Card within  5 days of hire. Must become CPR/First Aid certified within 30 days of hire.

Compensation and Benefits
Position starts at $13/hour.  Benefits include a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan and our Employee Assistance Program(EAP).
 
Substitute Driver/Dispatcher
Drivers provide transportation to our community seniors and individuals with disabilities. Position requires safe and legal driving of CCS vehicles, providing door-to-door escorts to clients, assisting passengers using wheelchairs, and supporting clients that may have cognitive impairments. Dispatching includes answering phones and scheduling rides in the office. Must possess a valid Alaska driver’s license with a good driving record for the past eighteen months and no DUI or reckless driving charges for the past three years.
 
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Alaska driver’s license with a good driving record for the past eighteen months and no DUI or reckless driving charges for the past three years. Background check, pre-employment and random drug screening required.

The Wrangell Senior Center is seeking a caring individual to serve as the Assistant Cook. Duties include assisting with preparing and serving tasty, nutritious meals according to program guidelines, ordering and proper storage of food and supplies, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen according to DEC guidelines.

Qualifications
Food and beverage experience preferred.  Will train on program specifics. Background check required.

Compensation and Benefits
This position is part-time, 25 hours/week, starting wage $13.00/hour.  Benefits include a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan, Employee Assistance Program(EAP), paid time off, and 12 paid holidays annually.

The Yakutat Senior Center provides much needed services to the elders of Yakutat by providing nutritious meals in the center and in their homes. The Yakutat Senior Center also provides transportation to the community’s elders to keep them active in the community and to help them meet their day-to-day needs. Please consider joining us in helping our valued elders in one of the following roles.
 
Site Manager
The Yakutat Senior Center is seeking an individual to oversee the nutrition and transportation program. This is a year-round position. Job duties will include purchasing groceries and preparing meals according to nutrition guidelines; packaging hot lunches and arranging delivery to program participants; maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen according to Alaska Food Service guidelines; timely and accurate completion of daily,  weekly and monthly paper work; planning activities; and answering telephone inquiries and scheduling of rides as needed. 

Qualifications
Familiarity with basic computer software and email required. Knowledge of food service practices, ability to prepare nutritious meals and proper presentation and ability to communicate with and relate to seniors and volunteers in a positive manner. Must get Alaska Food Workers card within 10 days of hire. Background check required.

Compensation
This position is full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Hourly wage DOE.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off and 12 paid holidays annually.
