For 50 years, Catholic Community Service has been recognized throughout the Southeast Alaska region as a leader setting a standard of excellence. Through our partnerships and collaborations, 75 staff and 50 volunteers throughout the region serve individuals and families of all ages.

Through a regional network of senior centers, Southeast Senior Services provides nutritious meals, transportation, care coordination, counseling, and community-based support that helps seniors remain active, connected, and supported in their communities.

SAFE CAC provides a coordinated, child-friendly, multidisciplinary response that includes forensic interviews, counseling, family advocacy, and community education to support children and strengthen families.

Important Things to Know:
· Capital Transit is requesting Capital AKcess clients update their information and CONFIRM their ADA-Transportation eligibility is current.
· Riders without a verified ADA transportation disability will be ineligible to ride effective Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
· Verify your ADA eligibility status, request an application, or schedule an appointment for Transit staff to meet you at your place of convenience to review your application.
· Riders with approved ADA eligibility issued more than 3 years prior may be requested to update information or reapply. Capital AKcess is following the 3-year review requirement for ADA paratransit eligibility.
· Letters and application forms have been sent to the client’s address on file.
· ADA paratransit riders who have not received a letter are asked to contact Capital Transit.
The Bridge provides a safe and nurturing environment for seniors who can no longer spend the day alone safely, are isolated, or experience physical and/or cognitive impairment, to make new friends. The program provides respite for family caregivers, along with education and support.

Case Management
The Case Manager conducts client needs assessments, develops plans of care to address specified needs, assists seniors in accessing needed services, and monitors the effectiveness of ongoing service delivery in meeting client needs and goals.
Group and individual counseling and support groups are available for seniors struggling with depression or other mental health issues and their caregivers.
The Gatekeeper Program helps identify at-risk seniors and connect them with assistance. A Gatekeeper can be any member of our community who regularly comes into contact with seniors and, through that contact, notices changes in the senior’s routine that may indicate deterioration in functioning, substance abuse, or mental health issues. CCS offers free Gatekeeper training to individuals and businesses.
